JOB DESCRIPTION: PR Executive (Public Relations)
Job Responsibilities
Media Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, influencers, and industry bloggers to secure consistent, high-quality media coverage for the brand.
Content Creation: Write compelling press releases, media pitches, company statements, and feature articles that align with the brand's narrative and messaging strategy.
Campaign Execution: Assist in planning and executing integrated PR campaigns, product launches, and brand awareness initiatives to maximize positive visibility.
Media Monitoring: Monitor media and social media channels for brand mentions, industry trends, and competitor activity. Prepare daily/weekly coverage reports and sentiment analysis.
Event Support: Support the organization of press conferences, media interviews, and PR events. Ensure logistics, media kits, and guest management run smoothly.
Crisis Management: Assist the senior management team in monitoring potential risks and preparing communication materials for sensitive or crisis-related situations.
Influencer Outreach: Identify and coordinate with relevant KOLs (Key Opinion Leaders) and KOCs (Key Opinion Consumers) for reviews, partnerships, and campaign amplification.
Administrative Support: Manage media databases, maintain press archives, track PR budgets, and assist in administrative tasks essential to the PR department’s workflow.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or related fields.
Experience: 1–3 years of experience in PR, agency communications, or corporate communications.
Technical Skills:
Excellent writing and editing skills (must have a portfolio of written content).
Proficiency in media monitoring tools (e.g., Google Alerts, Meltwater, or local media tracking platforms).
Familiarity with digital marketing and how PR intersects with social media strategy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Suite for reporting and scheduling.
Soft Skills:
Communication: Exceptional verbal and interpersonal skills; ability to build rapport with media professionals.
Storytelling: Ability to identify "newsworthy" angles and translate company updates into engaging stories.
Organization: Ability to manage multiple media inquiries, deadlines, and project timelines simultaneously.
Adaptability: Ability to stay calm under pressure, especially when dealing with time-sensitive media requests or crises.
