Check with seller Junior 3D Artist (Environment & Hard Surface)
- Location: Dong Nai City, vietnam
We are looking for a creative and technically skilled Junior 3D Artist to join our art team. You will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D assets, ranging from detailed environmental props to complex hard-surface machinery and architectural structures. Working under the guidance of our Art Lead, you will contribute to the visual world-building of our projects while ensuring assets are optimized for performance in game engines or real-time rendering environments.
Key Responsibilities
Asset Creation: Model, texture, and light high-quality environment assets and hard-surface objects based on concept art or creative briefs.
Pipeline Integration: Export and import assets into real-time engines (e.g., Unreal Engine or Unity), ensuring proper scale, orientation, and collision settings.
Optimization: Maintain clean topology and efficient UV layouts to meet technical performance budgets (polycounts, texture resolutions).
Texturing & Materials: Develop PBR (Physically Based Rendering) materials and textures to ensure visual consistency across all assets.
Collaboration: Work closely with Level Designers and Level Artists to ensure environment assets meet the gameplay and aesthetic requirements.
Iterative Process: Participate in art reviews, incorporating constructive feedback to refine work and maintain high visual standards.
Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date with current 3D industry tools, techniques, and workflow advancements.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or diploma in 3D Animation, Game Art, Fine Arts, or a related field.
Software Proficiency: * Mastery of Autodesk Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender.
Proficiency in Adobe Substance 3D Painter/Designer.
Experience with sculpting software like ZBrush.
Core Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of PBR workflows and lighting principles.
Solid grasp of hard-surface modeling techniques and topology best practices.
Understanding of UV mapping and texture optimization.
Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating a variety of environment and hard-surface work.
Soft Skills: Great communication, a proactive attitude, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Preferred Skills (Bonus)
Knowledge of Unreal Engine 5 (Lumen/Nanite) or Unity (HDRP).
Experience with photogrammetry workflows.
Familiarity with procedural modeling tools (e.g., Houdini).
Basic knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Perforce or Git).
