We are seeking a process-driven, analytical, and improvement-oriented Industrial Engineer to optimize our operational systems and maximize productivity. In this role, you will be the bridge between technical efficiency and human performance, analyzing complex workflows to identify bottlenecks, reduce waste, and streamline production processes. Whether you are re-designing facility layouts, implementing lean manufacturing methodologies, or conducting time-motion studies, you will play a critical role in enhancing our operational bottom line. Key Responsibilities
Process Optimization: Analyze production workflows and operational procedures to identify inefficiencies, reduce costs, and increase overall throughput.
System Design & Layout: Develop and implement effective facility layouts, workstation designs, and material handling systems to improve ergonomics and workflow fluidity.
Lean Implementation: Lead continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S) to eliminate waste and standardize best practices across the facility.
Performance Metrics: Establish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to monitor productivity, quality standards, and labor efficiency, providing actionable data for management.
Capacity Planning: Evaluate production capacity and demand forecasts to optimize resource allocation, scheduling, and inventory management.
Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to perform root-cause analysis on defects and implement process changes to ensure consistent product standards.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure that all operational processes and equipment configurations adhere strictly to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) regulations and internal safety protocols.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt) certification is a strong plus.
Experience: Proven experience in a manufacturing or logistics environment focusing on process improvement, systems analysis, or production planning.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in data analysis tools (Excel, Minitab, or SQL) and simulation/modeling software (e.g., Arena, FlexSim, or AutoCAD).
Strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, Theory of Constraints, and Value Stream Mapping.
Ability to perform time-study analysis and interpret statistical process control (SPC) data.
