We are seeking a hands-on, detail-oriented, and technically adept Electrical and Electronic Engineering Technician to support our engineering team in the development, testing, and maintenance of complex electronic systems. In this role, you will be the bridge between design concepts and functional hardware, responsible for the assembly, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic prototypes and production units. You will utilize diagnostic tools and technical schematics to ensure that our equipment meets rigorous performance and safety standards. Key Responsibilities
Assembly & Fabrication: Assemble electronic components, wire panels, and build sub-assemblies based on engineering schematics, blueprints, and verbal instructions.
Testing & Calibration: Perform functional testing and calibration of electronic devices and power systems, using precision instruments to measure performance and identify deviations.
Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and resolve technical malfunctions in hardware and circuitry, conducting root-cause analysis to implement effective and permanent repairs.
Documentation: Maintain detailed logs of testing procedures, maintenance activities, and component failures, ensuring accurate records for quality control and engineering reference.
Support & Maintenance: Assist engineers in the setup of laboratory experiments, the operation of automated test equipment, and the periodic maintenance of production machinery.
Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to electrical safety protocols, lock-out/tag-out procedures, and industry standards (e.g., NEC) to ensure a safe working environment.
Inventory & Procurement: Monitor technical supplies and component stock, assisting in the sourcing and verification of parts required for ongoing projects.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education: Associate’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering Technology or a related technical certification.
Experience: Proven experience in a technical support, electronics manufacturing, or maintenance role is preferred.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, logic diagrams, and technical manuals.
Strong practical experience with laboratory tools: digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.
Skilled in soldering (SMT and through-hole), crimping, wire harnessing, and hand-tool operation.
Familiarity with basic PLC programming or electronic instrumentation is a significant asset.
