JOB DESCRIPTION: E-commerce Analyst / Data Analyst
Job Responsibilities
Performance Monitoring: Track and analyze key E-commerce metrics across all channels (Traffic, Conversion Rate, AOV, GMV, CAC, ROAS, and Churn Rate) to assess business health.
Dashboards & Visualization: Develop and maintain real-time automated dashboards (using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Looker) to provide actionable insights for leadership and operations teams.
Deep-Dive Analysis: Conduct ad-hoc analysis to identify trends, performance bottlenecks, or anomalies in sales, inventory, and customer behavior.
Campaign Evaluation: Measure the efficacy of marketing campaigns, promotional events (Mega Sales, Flash Sales), and discount strategies to calculate ROI and provide recommendations for future optimization.
Consumer Insights: Analyze customer journey data, purchase patterns, and product performance to identify high-value customer segments and opportunities for upselling/cross-selling.
Forecasting: Collaborate with the Merchandising and Operations teams to build demand-planning models, helping to optimize inventory levels and reduce stock-outs or overstock.
Data Integrity: Ensure data accuracy across multiple data sources (Marketplace backends, Google Analytics, ERP, CRM) and manage data cleaning processes to support reliable reporting.
Process Improvement: Propose data-driven solutions to streamline operational workflows and enhance the overall E-commerce shopping experience.
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, or related technical fields.
Experience: 2–4+ years of experience in data analysis, preferably in an E-commerce, Retail, or Digital Marketing environment.
Technical Skills:
Data Tools: Advanced proficiency in SQL (essential for data extraction) and data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker).
Spreadsheets: Expert-level mastery of Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, Macros).
Analytics Platforms: Deep understanding of Google Analytics (GA4), and marketplace-specific analytics (Shopee/Lazada/TikTok shop data portals).
Programming (Optional but preferred): Knowledge of Python or R for advanced statistical analysis and automation.
Soft Skills:
Analytical Rigor: Ability to bridge the gap between complex datasets and simple, actionable business recommendations.
Communication: Strong ability to present data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders (e.g., Marketing or Operation teams).
Proactivity: Intellectual curiosity to investigate the "why" behind the numbers rather than just reporting the "what."
